With the rapid growth of China’s economy and the continuous improvement of its international status,trade between China and Brazil has become increasingly closer,and Chinese has also become increasingly important.A large number of Brazilians have invested in learning Chinese.However,compared to the number and history of Confucius Institutes which are opened in other countries and regions,the development of Chinese language teaching in Brazil is still quite young and has not yet reached a relatively large scale.In terms of Chinese syllabus,all the Confucius Institute’s syllabuses are set by the Confucius Institute according to their own conditions.So far,no unified Chinese teaching syllabus has been established and there is no uniform standard.This situation may lead to differences in teaching effectiveness and focus on teaching,which in part aggravates the unbalanced development of overall Chinese teaching and is not conducive to the teaching and dissemination of Chinese language in Brazil.Based on this background,The author did related research on the syllabus of the Confucius Institute at the University of Minas Gerais Federal University(for the convenience of writing,hereinafter referred to as “Minas Confucius Institute”).This paper is divided into six chapters.The first chapter is the introduction.It mainly introduces the reasons for the topic,the aim and significance of the topic,the status quo of the research on the Chinese language teaching in Brazil and the current research status of the curriculum,and confirms the research methods of this paper.The main content of the second chapter is to introduce the current teaching situation of Minas Confucius Institute,including teaching materials used by Minas Confucius Institute The curriculum and the new tentative syllabus,and put forward the scientific issues that exist in this syllabus goal.The third chapter and the fourth chapter are the key chapters of this paper.The third chapter mainly explains the irrationality of the grammar by analyzing the coverage of the corresponding vocabulary and the results of the simulated test results of the Minas Confucius Institute learners.From the perspectives of learners’ characteristics,needs,and the subjective and objective aspects of the teachers of the Confucius Institute,etc.to analysis the feasibility of this syllabus trial.The fifth chapter proposes corresponding suggestions based on the problems that have been analyzed,and tries to improve and draw up the syllabus of Minas Confucius Institute.It is hoped that this will provide new ideas for the preparation of Minas Confucius Institute syllabus.It also hopes that our conclusion will provide some references for those Confucius Institute of Brazil which are using the textbook "Contemporary Chinese" in curriculum setting,teaching objectives and syllabus development.To a certain degree,we have enriched our understanding of Brazilian Chinese teaching and research,further improved the status quo of teaching Chinese as a foreign language,and promoted the promotion and scale of Chinese language.
