Yuan Dynasty poetry is the crystallization of ancient poetry to the Yuan Dynasty,but also the product of the special era of the Yuan Dynasty.It has both the traditional culture of the Central Plains and show the new characteristics of ethnic minorities.This duality is exactly what the historical background of national integration gave.This thesis chooses the peak period of national integration in the middle and late Yuan Dynasty.With poetry as the research object,this thesis attempts to examine the national integration in the middle Yuan Dynasty from the aspects of politics,culture,thought and geography,and discusses the social environment formed by the mainstream style of Yuan poetry.As well as the ideological theme,aesthetic style and multiple connotation of poetry in the mid-Yuan Dynasty from the influence of national integration on literati mentality in the Yuan Dynasty.The first chapter is the national integration and literati mentality and creative orientation in the middle Yuan Dynasty.The situation of various ethnic groups in the Yuan dynasty reflected the overall national integration in the Yuan Dynasty.In particular,the Central Plains under the rule of Mongolia and the Jiangnan region under the jurisdiction of the Southern Song Dynasty have been characterized as typical.The ethnic integration has given people of all ethnic groups original Ideas and living customs have brought great changes.As a part of society at that time,literary people’s values,outlook on life and ethnics were all affected.Their creative orientation in their works also changed,showing new characteristics of the times.Chapter Two:National Integration and the Development of the Theme of Poetry in the Middle Period of Yuan Dynasty.Ethnic fusion makes the theme of poetry more colorful,the most distinctive of which is the prosperity of discipline-line poems and the poems of Hu-hong,which is related to the social reality of Mongolian warfare which has been expeditionary for a long time.The multi-ethnic grouping caused by the migration of various ethnic groups also made the Han and ethnic minorities feel their own influence on their living conditions.There have been descriptions of customs and festivals,religious sacrifices,and singing,dancing and entertainment ofvarious ethnic groups.Chapter Three: National Integration and the Formation of Aesthetic Style in the Middle Yuan Dynasty.In the early Yuan Dynasty,the south was dominated by the Southern Song Dynasty literati circle while the north with the Mongol and Western literati circle as the main creative group.The vast differences in the cultural background,creative style and aesthetic mentality made the poems show different styles.Southern poetic style is relatively graceful,poetry stress chapter law and elegance.Northern poetic style is the sentiments of the Jin Dynasty poetry,poetic style masculinity,poetry totally natural,easy to understand.With the joint efforts of the multi-ethnic poets,the diversified aesthetics of the poems of Yuan Dynasty form.Chapter Four: National Integration and the Plural Connotation of Poetry in the Middle Period of the Yuan Dynasty.During the blending of all ethnic groups,the Yuan Dynasty culture won the favor of both the public and the people and embraced the cultural spirit of all ethnic groups.This chapter is devoted to reveal the multi-connotation of poetry in the mid-Yuan Dynasty from three aspects: the style of literary works,the mentality of literati and the common spirit of pluralistic times. |
