On The Internationalization Of Chinese Logic Research

As one of the three traditions of logic,Chinese logic was born and developed rapidly in the Pre-Qin period,and was elaborated by some scholars from the Warring States to the Han and Tang dynasties.Chinese logic gradually declined after the Tang Dynasty and then gradually recovered until the beginning of the 20 th century.Many unprecedented achievements about Chinese logic have been made in the past 100 years.Through the collection and collation of domestic and foreign scholars who study the Chinese logic,it can be seen that foreign scholars have a long history of unscientific research on Chinese logic.Before the 21 st century,the investigations of Chinese scholars and foreign studies on Chinese logic are independent.However,the author finds that the arguments of Chinese and foreign scholars about Chinese logic in different periods are similar essentially.They mainly discussed the existence of Chinese logic,the content and characteristics of Chinese logic.Therefore,the author divides the research on Chinese logic in Chinese and foreign academic circles into three stages: the first is from the 16 th century to the Second World War eve,the second is from the Second World War period to the end of the 20 th century,and the third is after the 21 st century.In order to analyze the research achievements and characteristics in these three phases,the author uses some methods such as literature analysis and induction methods to collect a large amount of materials about Chinese thoughts,languages,and logic at home and abroad,and forms this article through classification and integration.The main content of the thesis is as follows,Firstly,the logical thinking in the pre-Qin period was defined as “Chinese logic”in this article,and the author elaborates and sums up the debate on domestic “with or without logic” since the 20 th century.The importance of cognitive science to experience,psychology,and situation is taken as an opportunity to promote theinternationalization of Chinese logic research in the 21 st century.Secondly,the study of Chinese logic in the academic circles at home and abroad is divided into three phases.The achievements and characteristics of Europe,the United States,Japan,and China at different stages are specific analyzed.Lastly,the current international characteristics and general trends of China's logic research are summarized.Some of the existing problems in China's logic research are analyzed.Some foresighted thoughts are made to further promote the internationalization of Chinese logic research.
