The Urban Writing Of Xu Xu's Novels In The 1940s

Two diametrically evaulations have been proposed for Xu Xu in history of Chinese literature,and lost of genres emerge among critics and readers.The research on Mr Xu's contribution and writing character is becoming increasingly comprehensive in recent years,but little work could be found on the Urban Writing in his novels.In this paper,experience and imaginations based on urban life of Mr Xu are investigated.It is hopefully to present the charmly treasures of him through the love and hatred urban life in his novels.The following thesis is organised as follows:The first section gives some background of Urban Writing in his novel.Two cities of Shanghai and Paris are introduced as represention of eastern and western world,in which different lives are presented and the reason for his choice in styles of litrature in 1940 s is believed to be found.In the second section writing stly of Mr Xu in Urban Writing is analysised.Details of landscape,livesmodern girls,mental state of intellectuals,the soulledd person are analysised and compared with each other.The contributions of Urban Writing in literature is evaulated in the third section.The combination of elegant and popular,the romanticism sentences,humanity and love involved in his Urban Writing are carefully listed and concluded.
