The Study Of Government Support In The Inheritance Of Gaojia Opera In Nan'an

With the rapid growth of economy and fast change in cultural consumption mode,China has great difficulties developing and inheriting traditional operas which vary from region to region across the country and have been declining sharply in contemporary media environment.Faced with such a grim situation,the local government have an important role to play in preserving the traditional Chinese opera culture.Many local authorities have been seeking effective ways to continue the tradition of their own opera art.With the protection and development of traditional Chinese opera culture becoming more and more important,this thesis mainly focuses on the preservation and continuance of Gaojia opera in Nan'an,with an emphasis on the support of the local government.It is an in-depth investigation into the necessity and feasibility of government support in the case of preserving the culture of Gaojia opera.According to the research,Nan'an government has been playing an important role in integrating various resources,finding new ways of protecting the opera culture and providing huge amounts of public cultural products along with a desirable environment.However,the government has also been found to overstep its authority or neglect its responsibility under some circumstances.Therefore,it is urgent that Nan'an government further transform its functions,improve its working mechanism and diversify its ways of supporting,so as to function more effectively and make further achievements in the protection and development of Gaojia opera.
