Research On Digital Development Of Cultural Heritage Of Mogao Grottoes At Dunhuang

Cultural heritage is a type of historical remains and is also the epitome of historical geography,humanistic culture and social life.It is a core resource of national soft power.Scarcity?preciousness and non-renewability are basic features of cultural heritage.Mogao Grottoes,as one of the remarkable examples among numerous cultural heritages in the world,is the largest and well preserved grottoes in China even in the world with longest history,rich contents and exquisite art.But due to various reasons like natural elements,human activities and tourism development,many cultural relics including Mogao Grottoes are facing the danger of extinction or being lost,and to preserve them permanently is imminent.In twenty-first century,with the development of computer and internet technology,digital technology provides possibility to protect and long-lastingly preserve cultural relics.This article firstly combs the profile of our national cultural relics and the dilemma they face and introduces current status of protection?development and management of Mogao Grottoes' cultural heritage.Then it summarizes advanced experiences of the digitalization of Mogao Grottoes and includes practices of digitalization applied in the fields of Mogao Grottoes' protection methods?exhibition,cultural industry and tourist management,which could be used for reference for the digitalization of cultural relics from Gansu province.At last,to combine with my own work,it gives some developing suggestions of the digitalization of Mogao Grottoes' cultural heritage.
