| Word is the basis for learning English,and for rural junior high school students,the lack of knowledge sources and after school tutoring,although they spent a lot of time to memorize English words,the mere mechanical repetition makes the result of memorization not as good as they aspect.Mind Mapping visualized knowledge.It could make the way of students’ thinking more scientific.To guide and stimulate students ’independent thinking and creative thinking.This thesis tries to guide the word memorization with Mind Map.At present,nearly all the Junior High Schools in Gan Su province use(go for it)as the textbook.There are a mount of words are contained in these books.It’s difficult for students in rural Junior High School students to memorize.This research select students of two classes in Grade Eight in a rural Junior High School as the research subject,do a experiment for a period of two months(September 2014---2014 November).using the methods of documentation,experiment,interviews and questionnaires.By designing different kinds of English words mapping,exploring the effectiveness of the mind mapping to guide the English words memorization.The aims of this research are to guide the English words memorization by applying the mind mapping in English words teaching and learning,cultivate the scientific attitude towards learning,increase the interest of learning and memorizing English words,increase the number of words that extract by students,and improve the word-spelling accuracy rate.These questions are researched in this thesis:(1).Can the teaching methods of mind mapping improve the students’ words-spelling accuracy rate?(2).Can the mind mapping increase the number of words that extracted by students?(3).Can the words mapping cultivate students’ learning habits and increase students’ interests in learni ng English words?It is found from the experiment that(1)The teaching methods of mind mapping improve the students’ words-spelling accuracy rate.(2).The mind mapping increase the number of words that extracted by students(3).the words mapping cultivate students’ scientific learning habits and increase students’ interests in learning English words.Because of limited time,energy and capacity,this research also has some limitations.The conclusions of this research is inevitable one side and periodic.The ways of evaluation are not comprehensive enough.The combination of experiment and information technology is not enough.Finally,the author makes so me suggestions for the further research... |
