Qiao Ye's Novels In The Perspective Of Gender

In this thesis,I use the gender theory to study the gender relations and gender conflict in Qiao Ye's novels,summarizing Qiao Ye's attitude and position of gender issues,exploring the unique artistic charm of Qiao Ye's novels.As a writer with social consciousness,Qiao Ye's novels are mostly about the real life of women,and her description of women's psychology and women's life is subtle and deep.In Qiao Ye's novels,urban women and rural women have shed their defensive camouflage,showeing their true desires and either dark or humble human nature to readers.Wandering and struggling in the hypocritical gender relations,women's spiritual world is repressed and tortured,regardless of they are in the city or the countryside?no matter their position in society,women are distressed by nobody understands them and can not express their true feelings.Qiao Ye pays attention to female's spiritual predicament,she comforts their mental scars.She not only write the life experience of women,but also provide a window for readers to observe the inner world of women.In addition,Qiao Ye has constructed various types of gender relations around women in the novel,it provides a valuable reference for developing and solving gender relations and gender issues.Although most of Qiao Ye's female novels are short stories,her description of the experience and growth of women in emotional relations is incisively and vividly,it is enough to prove that Qiao Ye's talent and efforts in the creation of novels.Qiao Ye's writing about the secret life experience of women has reached a new height.Whether it is the history that women deliberately buried or the impenetrable objective obstacle,all the female life experiences hidden in the shadows are telling the twists and turns of the women's fate.In order to write real women's fate,Qiao Ye always dedicated to reaching into the depths of women's heart and memory,digging out the untold stories.In some romance novels,the painful memories of the past affect women's perceptions of men and their marriage,In their enduring self-repression,their human nature is alienated,neither their minds or spirits can get real free.In some novels that relate to society and history,Qiao Ye reveals the ugliness and indifference of human nature in a way of writing facts,showing the vulnerability and hypocrisy of some gender relations,conveying her sharp and tender view of history and ethics,expressing her concern for women's destiny and the expectation of good humanity.In the end,this paper points out some shortcomings of Qiao Ye's novels,forexample,a lot of repetition of the plot?the weakening of male image?the logic of storis are not strict?cater to market demand too much,and so on,Still,the merits of her novels outweigh such flaws,we should look forward to her creation and admit her strength,believing she can make a greater contribution to the contemporary literary world.
