| The American TV series Game of thrones as the research object of this essay,it stirred up a core question is why this play always been considered as "epic".As we all know,the truly epic is only belong to the past era.However,the continuation of the traditional continuation effect of writing/rewriting epic creative acts in the narrative practice of literary and cinematic works still stimulates the rebirth of epic.At present,Game of thrones is the most representative work of The Epic TV series.Since its inception,it has quickly become a global broadcast "super-story",and it also gained unprecedented epic success.This essay believes that epic narrative is the root cause of the epic sense of Game of thrones.The so-called epic narrative is to tell the story in an epic way,and to use the poetic general law to create artistically created narrative works on the basis of recurring/fictional history.This essay uses narrative theory and related theoretical resources to examine the research object of study from three perspectives—text,theory,and comparison—in parallel From the perspective of form,space,and culture,we enter the epic narrative problem in Game of thrones to complete the deconstruction interpretation of text.The first chapter studies the traditional inheritance of Epic TV series,and believes that the production of this type of TV series is the return of the epic tradition of the digital era.Starting from four perspectives:genre,story,space-time,and type,the Epic TV series are classified into the dual traditions of genre and story,literary and cinema.The combination of tradition and creativity is regarded as the source of the “epicity” of Game of thrones,thus focus on the artistic boundaries of the ever-expanding Epic narrative.The second chapter studies the forms of Epic narrative,and considered epic stories to be the expressions of the story of Game of thrones.It starts with super narrator,motif structure,event organization,hero maps,and image utterances.Analyze the narrative function.The second chapter studies the forms of epic narratives,and consider epic stories to be the core meaning of the narrative form of Game of thrones.Through the super narrator,motif structure,event organization,hero maps and video utterances,five forms of text analysis,define the function.The third chapter studies the space of epic narrative,and consider that "Epic space" is the whole form of the space structure of Game of thrones.From the six spatial forms of geographical space,supernatural space,war space,living space,social space and political space,the potential spatial awareness of the text and the logical coding of the“classical/modernity” in the digital reproduction of the “Epic space”from the three aspects of materiality,spirituality,and sociality,and thus the development of various modern societies from“discourse spaces”.issue;The fourth chapter studies the cultural role of Epic narrative and uses epic phantoms to characterize the cultural symptoms of Game of thrones in transnational communication.It is believed that the hit of this play in China is due to the formation and dissemination of texts.The three-character representations of culture,“exotic”,“simulated”and“mechanism”.At the same time,it is inextricably linked with the meaning of the subculture text,which is “deconstruction of the fatherhood and high sub-rights”.Finally,in the conclusion part,the intention of this essay is systematically sorted out. |
