The soul theory is an important part of Aristotle's philosophy.It is not only special discussed in his book “On the Soul”,but also shown in his ethics.Therefore,the thinking and research on Aristotle's soul view are not limited to his book “On the Soul”,but also should start from his ethical works so that we can comprehensively and deeply understand and grasp it.From the perspective of Aristotelian ethics to study the doctrine of the soul is the motivation and purpose of this paper to study the soul theory.On the basis of summarizing Aristotle's soul theory at home and abroad,it is pointed out that there are few domestic and foreign research texts to expound the soul thought.Next,this paper explores Aristotle's three works of ethics on the soul thought.Specifically,this paper first explores the influence of Aristotle's previous philosophers on the formation of his soul thought;Secondly,it tries to explore the concept of soul from the perspective of ethics,mainly focuses on the meaning,classification,function and neutrality of the soul.Thirdly,it's about the relationship between the soul and virtue.To be specific,it is necessary to explain the relationship between good soul and happiness and friendship,and the relationship between soul,morality and intellectual virtue.The last part of the article focuses on the philosophical significance of this kind of soul thought embodied in Aristotle's ethics and its role in contemporary moral construction.Therefore,this paper mainly talks about Aristotle's thought of soul in the framework of his ethics.The final aim is to point out that the research on Aristotle's soul thought in his ethical framework and the exploitation of his soul idea in his ethical works are helpful for us to understand both his ethical thought and his ethics.
