The main book of the Yan Sheng Duke was the grandson of the Confucius family.Since he received seals from the Northern Song Dynasty and was granted canonization until the end of the Republic of China,it had been eight hundreds and eighty years.In this long historical process,the period of the Mongol-Yuan dynasty was an indispensable key link,and it had the role of linking up with others.During the period of the Mongol-Yuan dynasty,a total of nine descendants of Confucius inherited the Duke of Sheng Duke.Prior to Yuan Renzong,the inherited features of the Yan Sheng Duke were generally intermittent.After Yuan Renzong,with the Hanization of the Mongolian rulers gradually deepened,the inheritance of Yan Sheng Duke became gradually stable.During the period of the Mongol-Yuan dynasty,the nine major missions for the reliquary were their presiding over the sacrificial activities of Confucius.In addition to the sacrificial activities,they would also preside over other clan activities within the Confucius family.This included major clan genealogy and the vigorous construction of Qufu temples.In addition to hosting clan activities,they were also involved in many cultural activities in education and academic areas.Moreover,They had extensivecontacts with famous Chinese scholars,scholar-bureaucrats,and even imperial family members.The association with the famous Confucianism had led more of their integrations with these famous Confucian families through marriage.As a result,the Confucius family had always maintained a high social status.At the same time,the Yan Sheng Duke,as a representative group of Confucius family members,had made a positive contribution to the development of Confucianism in the Yuan Dynasty and the Chinese localization of the Mongolian rulers,due to which has also won them a high social status.
