"Fang Hua" is Yan Geling’s new work in 2017.The work comes from the experience of Yan Geling’s study and life in the Youth League.It is also a book that Yan Geling herself claimed she had written the most truely.Since its publishment,it has been popular among people,and has begun to attract the attention of literary critics."Fang Hua" continues the theme of the cultural revolution that he is good at.It ignores the review of the cruel history of the cultural revolution.More ink is used in the design of the conflict plot in the red mansion,highlighting the character,combining the human nature thinking,and perfecting the characterization of the characters.Therefore,the study of Red Mansion and personals has become a worthy topic.In the past,Yan Geling’s research has been subdivided into Yan Geling’s life,content and theme,language style and narrative angle.However,the study of the relationship between spatial images and personals in the works failed to arouse enough attention in literary critics.On the basis of the existing research,the research on the space and characterization of Red Mansion is a supplement to the research on the characterization,creative purpose and theme of the works of Yan Geling.The writing of this paper first finds out the relationship between the image of "Red Mansion" and the various characters in the works through a detailed reading of the text,and then the relationship between the spatial image of the Red Mansion and the characterization of the characters in the works is explored through the literature method and the theoretical knowledge and other papers related to the production and characterization of the space.And come to a conclusion.This paper is divided into six parts.The introduction will give a brief introduction to Yan Geling and his works and clarify the significance of this study.The first chapter analyzes the similarities and differences in the historical evolution of the Red Mansion,and points out that the Red Mansion is the spatial image designed by the author,and then compares the red mansion with the existing Red Mansions,and analyzes the writing about the plot of the flattened Red Mansion in the works.The second chapter takes Liu Feng’s experience in the Red Mansion as the main line,and combines the description of Liu Feng’s dedication,harvest and experience in the Red Mansion,analyses the plot of Liu Feng’s experience of success,betrayal and disillusionment in the Red Mansion in chronological order,and highlights the symbolic meaning of "Red Chamber" to Liu Feng,and will be strict at the same time.The similar plot design in other works of YanGeling is analogous.From Helen Palmer’s theory of "nine types personality",this paper analyzes the "Liu Feng image" under Yan Geling’s writing,and excavates the role of the red chamber space for the shaping of Liu Feng’s characters.The third chapter analyzes the symbolic significance of the "Red Mansions" to the two people in the Red Mansion and the experience of Xiaoman in the Red Mansion.At the same time,according to the life experience of two people,combining Foucault’s Jameson’s "spatial analysis" theory and Maslow’s "need level" theory,this paper analyzes the relationship between the "Red Mansion" space and the pain and depression of the two people,and explores the relationship between the "Red Mansion" space and the suffering aesthetics.The fourth chapter takes the characters Hao Shuwen and Lin Dingding in the Red Mansion as the main line,from Maslow’s "needs level" theory,Freud’s "psychoanalysis" theory,and Foucault’s "right space theory" to analyze the two people in the Red Mansion,and through the change of the two people leaving the red chamber,highlighting the red mansion to him The influence of their respective personalities and life trajectories criticizes the misleading and tortured people’s absurdity in special times.The concluding part quotes the "third space" of Su Jia,and sums up the symbolic meaning and characterization of various characters in the "Red Chamber" space,and draws a conclusion that "Red Mansion" has different symbolic meanings to different characters during the period of the cultural revolution,and the existence of the "Red Chamber" has finished the shaping of various characters in the "Fang Hua".
