Read Eileen Chang’s Novels From The Perspective Of Economics

Up to now,The academic community has made great achievements in EileenChang’s research.Scholars often start from aspects of biography,feminism,and psychology.This article tries to interpret EileenChang from an economic perspective and discovers a new interpretation space for his works under the view of economics.This article mainly discusses from three aspects:(1)Use the principles of economic exchange theory,game theory,and utility maximization to interpret the characters in EileenChang’s writings and demonstrate the process in which EileenChang’s characters pursue their maximization of efficiency and materialization.(2)On the one hand,Influenced by EileenChang’s personal experiences,affection,and special experiences of love;On the other hand,from the social background of the time and the specific ideological culture to study the Causes of EileenChang’s Economic Consciousness and the Creation of living state of novel characters(3)This paper mainly analyzes the specific meaning of EileenChang’s novel creation from the economical angle of view from the following aspects: the distortion of human nature under material desire,the subversion of the traditional female image,and the modern examination of the money concept.
