Concept Map is a intuitively organized and expressed in the form of diagrams to record knowledge points and thinking processes.This study will collate and analyze the concept maps in English teaching in middle schools and summarizes the research status at home and abroad.Finally,it finds that the application of concept maps to word recognition is relatively rare.Most existing practice studies use mind mapping and combined with word recognition,the research paradigm is simple.This study attempts to combine the conceptual map with the memorization of English words to carry out research.During the internship,through the full investigation of the seventh grade English word teaching in the X middle school and the pre-experimental questionnaire and interview analysis,the situation of English word teaching in the X middle school and the problems in the word teaching were learned.For the outline words of the seventh grade of the People’s Education Press,according to the systematic teaching design theory,the concept map is designed and practiced in English words teaching.Through the whole experiment,it is found that the use of concept maps for word teaching can increase the number of students’ English words extracted and reproduced.At the same time,the words can be presented in a more intuitive and visual way to improve the classroom participation of students and improve their interest in learning English words.Because of the short time and lack of practical experience,there are still some deficiencies in this study.There are still some areas that need improvement.Finally,I hope the results of this study can provide some references for future word teaching.
