Research On The Idea Of“mutualism" And Luyin’s Novel Creation

Lu Yin is an important authoress in the period of the May 4th.Her research had begun since 1930s.The researcher of Lu Yin mostly focus on Lu Yin’s female literature writing,the aesthetic style and the narrative style of Lu Yin’s novel.But the researcher seldom discuss the relationship of Lu Yin’s novel and "mutualism".Lu Yin’s novel creation was influenced by the idea of "mutualism" to some extent,which made her novels have a feature of "conceptualization".This article takes the relationship between "Mutualism" and Lu Yin’s novels as the research object,trrying to clarify the impact of "Mutualism" on Lu Yin’s novels and explore the content and narrative way showing how the characteristics and the reasons behind this feature,under the influence of "Mutualism".The idea of "mutualism" was proposed by Kropotkin in his book "Mutual Aid ",which holds that human beings have the nature of mutual assistance and can reach socialism through mutual assistance.This is one kind of Anarchism.After the "First World War",the victory of the "Allies" became a turning point for the propaganda of"Mutualism".In the propaganda of Cai Yuanpei and other intellectuals,"Mutualism"was all the rage in Beijing at that time and promoted the "New Village Movement"and "Work-study Mutual Aid Movement".At that time,Lu Yin was only an ordinary female high school teacher,but also influenced by the idea of "mutualism".The influence of "Mutualism" on Lu Yin’s novels mainly manifests in the content level of the novels and the way of narration.Although Lu Yin is a writer of "Literary Study Seminar",his novel has a romantic character and full of sad emotions.Part of the reason is that the characters in Lu Yin’s novels often have the ideal of "mutual help",feeling disappointed and sad in the face of selfish and dark reality.Behind the romantic features of Lu Yin’s novels,there is the influence of "Mutualism".At the same time,the relation of character in Lu Yin’s novels are in the condition of diaphragm,the characters do not understand or sympathize with each other,and finally come to a sad situation.These are the reverse writing of the idea of"mutualism".The characteristics of these content make Lu Yin’s novels appear"conceptual" feature.In the aspect of fictional narration method,in order to emphasis on the character relations between the characters and the septum or not,Lu Yin’s novels regards the relational model of characters as the center of narration and the main pen of the novel instead of focusing on the portrayal of characters,they put their opinions on the relationship between people in order to show that people need mutual help.At the same time,when Lu Yin’s novels portray characters,the narrative point of view will be in the different people move between each other,often do not describe a character clearly and put the narrative point of view transferred to another person character.This led to Lu Yin’s novel character become single.This phenomenon is also caused by Lu Yin in order to show the idea of "mutualism".And Lu Yin’s novels often create a sad atmosphere.Lu Yin hopes to arouse the sympathy of the readers through the sad feelings in the novel.Only by mutual sympathy can one cancel the mutual separation and eventually move towards to the "mutualism" ideal society.
