The emphasis of English teaching in the low years of primary school is not on the teaching of grammar and vocabulary,but on stimulating students' interest in learning English and strengthening the cultivation of students' language ability.Thus,cultivating and improving students' interest in learning English is one of the tasks of the primary school English curriculum.Game teaching is just a means to stimulate students' interest in learning,so game teaching is widely used in English class teaching in the low years of primary school.However,due to various factors,the teaching of English Classroom Games in the low years of primary school did not achieve the expected results.There are still some problems in the game teaching of English classroom in the low years of primary school.In order to understand the current situation of the teaching of English Classroom Games in the low years of primary school and to find out the problems,the author did a research study.Firstly,through literature review and analysis,we can understand the research trends and major achievements and viewpoints at home and abroad.In the investigation and research process,three kinds of research methods are adopted: questionnaire survey,interview and classroom observation.Through collating and analyzing the collected data,the author found that there are four problems in the teaching of English Classroom Games in the low years of H primary school: the first is the form of the game is single,and the games are several conventional games;the second is during the game,the classroom discipline is disordered;the third is during the game,not all the students participate into the game,and easily ignore the other students;the fourth is the teacher is the main teaching evaluation,the students do not have much opportunity to participate in the evaluation.Finally,according to the above four problems,the researcher puts forward some corresponding strategies: the first is to improve the sense of innovation and enrich the forms of the game;the second is to strengthen classroom management and maintain classroom discipline;the third is to strengthen classroom management and improve classroom teaching effectiveness;the fourth is to pay attention to the evaluation of students,and the teachers do a good summary evaluation.After analyzing these questions,the author draws three conclusions: firstly,game teaching is very popular among students and teachers;secondly,there are still some problemsin the process of game teaching,and thirdly,the English game teaching plays an important role in strengthening the interaction and communication between teachers and students.At the same time,I also found the limitations of the research,that is,the limitations of the study sample and the limitations of the researchers' knowledge background.
