A Thematic Study On Trauma In Le Clezio's Fiction

Jean-Marie Gustave Le Clezio is an extremely dazzling Pearl in contemporary France.Since he won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 2008,great attention has been paid to various research articles.He is a prolific writer,more than 50 works have been published so far,extensively involved in fairy tales,poetrys,novels,movies and other fields.His novels' art is creative and extraordinary.Published in 1963,lawsuit record is his first work,it exposed the harm that materialized city civilization brought to a person.Adding the artistic skill of the author,lawsuit record won the literary award of renodo and Le Clezio bacame famous in the literary world.Since then,he has made more bold attempts in the novel creation,published War,Desert,Goldfish,Wandering Stars,Urania and other works,and revealed different aspects of the human nature.Throughout Le Clezio's novels,war,conflict,violence and the threat of objectification are everywhere.Each character is attacked by a variety of traumas,the attempt to transcend them is ongoing at the same time.This article mainly takes the trauma theory as the starting point,uses a way that combine the theory and the text to read,selects a few relatively representative works,strives to carry on the comprehensive explanation to its creative trauma theme,provides a new angle of view for the domestic research to the work of Le Clezio.Trauma,originally referred to the damage about physiological organization,has now permeated psychological,historical,political,cultural,artistic,literary and other fields,formed a complete theoretical system,and is widely used in literary and cultural criticism.In this paper,I will combine the theory of trauma with literary criticism,explore all kinds of attempts relieving to traumas in the text of Le Clezio's works,expounds the origin of his trauma writing by combining his own unique experience of trauma and the background of his creation,which reveals the deep meaning hidden behind his texts,and uncovers his thoughts on the existence of human beings and his strong humanitarian feelings.
