A Project Report On The E-C Translation Of Software As A Service Agreement

In the Internet era of the 21st century,with the rapid development of computer science and network technology,software and its applications have become an indispensable part of people's daily life.The technology contract which is based on the software and applications shows its increasing significance.Meanwhile,English is widely used in various types of technology contracts as a formal written language,drawing more attention from domestic and foreign scholars begin on the translation of technology contracts.The project report involves the knowledge in technology English and contract translation,so it is of great research value.In the project report,the author analyzes the major issues and difficulties in the E-C translation of Software as a Service Agreement from vocabulary,syntax,and discourse level,including how to translate the formal,technical and contract terms;how to deal with the long and difficult sentences in the Agreement;and how to represent the discourse cohesion in the translation.In addition,the author adopts the corresponding translation techniques such as literal translation,free translation,and omission in response to the major issues and difficulties in the translation process.The author hopes that this project report can become the reference for the practice and research of the E-C translation of similar English technology contracts in the future.
