As the state government attaches more importance to the education and cultivation of the talents,the teachers' rank establishment is strongly advocated.In recent years,a wave of researching on teacher education has also existed,and the research of pre-service teacher education has attracted more and more researchers' attention,which is consistently associated with the new policy education promulgated.To be better adapt to that,the high-level talents are urgently demanded by the national economic construction and social development,and positively develop the professional degree education the Chinese way,then Ministry of Education has proposed that,since 2009,to expand the enrollment of 19 full-time Master's degrees given priority to undergraduates.Master of education degree which pays more attention to the education practicum,is included in it.Therefore,students need to complete such practical teaching contents as educational probation,educational practicum and so on.Researchers started relatively late in the study on education practicum of pre-service teachers,which explored the influence of practicum for normal students in teaching reflection ability and teachers' career cognition development.However,due to the time limit of the practicum,and multiple objects such as the training units,practicum bases involved,so there are many problems in the process of education practicum.Therefore,it is of great shortage in the research on the role orientation,transformation and the change of the teacher's professional faith of those normal students with specific subjects in the specific practicum process.Based on the research of full-time English education students in Central China Normal University,to explore their role orientation and transformation in the whole practicum and the change of teachers' professional faith,so as to analyze the effects on pre-service English teachers'professional faith exerted by the role orientation and transformation in the process of education practicum.Questionnaires and individual random interviews as the research methods in this study.In this research,56 full-time English education students in Central China Normal University grade 2016 are participated in total three questionnaires,through which will be 6 masters randomly selected as interviewees.Through the data analysis and a supplement of the interview details,the following results are presented.Firstly,the great changes have taken place on the full-time English education masters in general before and after the practicum,especially there are some major changes in their role orientation of teaching.In the face of the coming practicum,they pre-service teachers often set themselves as a clear and accurate positioning to meet the challenge in the education practicum.As a result of the negative adaption to the education practicum environment,real personal teaching experience,the difficulties in theory employing as well as interpersonal disharmonious,resulting in ambiguous role orientation and even difficult role transformation.As a matter of fact,this short-term education practicum is actually a complex process for students to finish role transformation successfully,so that the teachers' role adaption after the whole practicum is still difficult.The results are also showed that full-time English education masters'professional faith has changed obviously before and after the practicum.The student teachers have the deep knowledge of the teaching profession in the process of education practicum,and perform teachers' responsibilities by themselves,thus the attitudes towards the teacher profession have changed,and some of them decide not to choose English teacher as their career after graduation,which greatly affect their teacher's professional faith.What's more,there is a remarkable effect on their teacher's professional faith exerted by the role orientation,transformation in the process of education practicum.Specifically,the more clear role orientation and successful role transformation in the process of education practicum contributes greatly to establishing firm teacher's professional faith while the difficulty of role orientation and transformation in the process of education practicum seriously sway and weaken the pre-service English education masters' teacher' s professional faith.To help the pre-service English education masters overcome the difficulties encountered in the education practicum,and to better realize the teacher's role orientation and transformation as well as establish firm professional faith,from the practical and feasible angle,this study respectively present several improvement suggestions to the training units,practicum bases,practicum instructors and MEd.students.
