Study On Wuhan Drama Movement Before The Outbreak Of Anti-Japanese War(1935-1937)

After 1937,the climax of professional movement of Chinese drama turned up,right before which,the Wuhan drama movement on the eve of Anti-Japanese War appeared.A series of attempts have been made.In the end,although due to its own and the times'many factors,it is defeated.But the unsuccessful attempt has provided us with a lot of historical experience and thinking.The thesis is divided into four parts.The introduction first sorts out the drama course of Wuhan's main drama troupes before the outbreak of Anti-Japanese War,and then explains the reason of the topic,the definition of related words and the research status.In addition,the article is divided into three chapters by referring to Professor Ma Junshan's view of regarding professionalization,marketization and socialization as the standard.The first chapter tells the professional situation of Wuhan drama on the eve of Anti-Japanese War.On the one hand,Wuhan players in the drama proposed construction of grand theatre and creation of regular drama edition Drama Collection,develops a controversy about historical play problems and a series of practice about the stage art innovation.These attempts show some degree of specialization.On the other hand,due to various constraints,the professional results are not mature,and the overall process shows the transition from amateur to professional,which reflects the dynamic exploration characteristics of "on the road".The second chapter analyzes the market situation of Wuhan drama on the eve of Anti-Japanese War.The difficult economic situation has led to the obstruction of professional exploration of Wuhan drama,and struggles in the“human and financial space”.The solution to the difficulties is to go to the market,but in the face of the tension on the eve of the Anti-Japanese War,the "National Defense Drama" was pushed into the hot series and occupied the Wuhan theatre.However,the "national defense drama" could not attract the audience and sell its seats.The repertoire was caught in a dilemma between the will of the audience and the intention to save the country,and it was losing money.At this time,comparing with the performance of the Chinese tour group to Wuhan,we can see that the Wuhan drama is not profitable,and also see its attitude of discrimination toward market.When the climax of professionalization approached and marketization was rationalized,the Wuhan drama did not make corresponding changes.In addition,the outbreak of war further blocked the transition and eventually failed.The third chapter dissertates the degree of socialization of Wuhan's major troupes on the eve of the outbreak of the Anti-Japanese War.Due to the special situation and the current situation,the Wuhan drama relied on official politicization and modern media to rise,showing a short-term prosperity.However,the help of the government was limited,and the limited external help has aggravated the dependency psychology.In addition,due to the existence of party barriers and severe script review system,these have to some extent imprisoned the autonomy of the drama,resulting in the inability to be independent.This kind of political dispute with Wuhan plays is a deep reason for its failure.The conclusion expounds the experiences and lessons of Wuhan drama in the eve of the War of Resistance Against Japan.The formation of specialization is inseparable from the material back-feeding brought about by marketization.The completion of socialization must also rely on marketization as a means,and the realization of marketization needs to rely on the promotion of specialization and social recognition.Only when these three are coordinated and unified can they have professional qualities.The Wuhan drama failed to handle the relationship between the three,and after a brief boom,accompanied by the upcoming war,it hurriedly faded away.
