Henry Purcell was an early British composer and organist for Baroque.He is the first major composer in the history of British music and an outstanding representative of the British music industry in the Baroque period.He is known as the originator of British opera.He was born into a family of musicians,and his father and uncle are both musicians in the Royal Church.Purcell,who grew up in a musical atmosphere,was selected to enter the Royal Juvenile Choir at a young age and became an organist at the age of 14.His singing training in the Royal Chapel’s choir and his long experience in organ training made Purcell extremely creative in music creation.He not only created a large number of instrumental repertoires but also created classic vocal works based on British ethnic characteristics.During the Baroque music period,the British social background and political factors also gave Purcell access to Italian and French opera.From Purcell’s composition,not only can see the influence of Italian opera and French opera on their creation,but also Purcell combines the foreign knowledge with the factors of British national characteristics,constantly exploring and innovating that Belongs to the British local tracks."Dido and Aeneas" is the first strict opera he created.It is the earliest intact work of British opera.He has a wide range of works,a wide range of genres,and has created a number of popular vocal songs throughout his life.This article classifies it into three parts:religious music,scene music,and drama music.Various works in Purcell’s creation reflect the gradual refinement and maturity of his creative techniques.Therefore,this article chooses classic songs for analysis and research in these three types of vocal music works,from the conception of music structure,the description of melodic lines and the arrangement of lyrics.In the final part,from the analysis of the rules and conclusions derived from the analysis of the songs,combined with the practice of vocal singing,research and analysis were carried out.Purcell’s song language and song style were explored,and it was expected to be able to sing Purcell vocal music.Provide practical help.
