Aesthetics And Ethics: The Duet Of Bergson’s "Duration"

Henry Bergson is the culmination of the 20 th century life intuitionist aesthetic school.He is ideologically consistent with the life philosophies of Schopenhauer,Nietzsche,Dilthey,and others.The concept of "the theory of duration" is the philosophical aspect of his philosophy path.In his view,"duration" is the real time;it is an eternal and unstoppable movement;it is the intrinsic impetus for all things in the universe and the universe.The concept of "duration" constitutes the core essence of Bergson’s ontological philosophy,which runs through several fields such as philosophy,aesthetics,religion,and ethics in his thoughts.This article is based on the core context of Bergson’s thought.It is elaborated through a main line(continuation),three major points("Essence theory","Aesthetic theory","Ethical theory")and two points of view.The artistic expression and ethical connotation contained in Bergson’s "Duration View" and the enlightenment and significance it brings to us.Based on this,the paper will be developed in six parts one by one.The “essentialism” section has combed the evolution of the concept of time since ancient Greece and expounded the historical context and internal motivation of Bergson’s “duration concept”.Bergson’s "View of Duration" directly confronts and refutes the view of modern machinery time.This view of time often uses purely rational thinking and methods to deal with the phenomena and problems of life.It can neither recognize the essence of life,nor the fundamental difference between life experience time and physical reality cannot be properly understood."Progressiveness",as a real time proposal,is a clearing and correction of ancient celestial time,medieval theological time,and modern mechanical time.The "Appreciation of the Aesthetics" part is an intuitive understanding of Bergson’s aesthetic dimension of the concept of "duration."
