| Along the long-term developing course,Chinese civilization has manifested its unique features in the global diversification development. The translation of Chinese classical terms has played an essential role in both strengthening the conversation between Chinese classics and the world’s classics and promoting the comprehensive development of world’s classics.Apart from the fixed assessment criteria set under the examination-oriented education,it is quite difficult to give an accurate and widely-accepted comment on the translation. As the saying goes, one’s writing reflects oneself, and such concept also applies to the writings. An article has been regarded as one of the best presentation of the social and cultural background and the individual status of its author. Therefore, the understanding of the readers or translators to the background of the original text and the experience of the author do lay the firm foundation for the analysis and translation of the original works.Translation is a two-way process between the understanding and expression of the translator to the original text during which understanding is the acceptance to the original text while expression is the interpretation to it.Therefore, translators should serve as both the readers and the interpreter.Since reading and interpretation have always been affected by the language and culture, the intervention of the intertextuality seems to be necessary. It has added the historical and cultural elements to extend the comprehension and interpretation to the original text in a broad sense,so that the comprehension of the target language readers could be more rational and comprehensive.Except the proper nouns,“Wen” has shown in the first chapter Yuan Dao of Wen Xin Diao Long, the peerless works of Chinese linguistics and culture, for eighteen times. This paper has chosen five from ten “Wen” that failed to be analyzed by Sun Changkun in his thesis to compare the translation given by Yang Guobing,Stephen Owen and Siu-kit Wong from both intertextuality and hermeneutics perspectives to put forward personal comments on it. |
