Art is an irreplaceable form of promoting social development and the development of human spiritual level,which originates from life and is higher than life.This thesis is about the most common "pet cat" around us,discussing the basic history of the cat,the basic situation of the cat in the eastern and western paintings,the Chinese cat painting tradition and the author's creative practice.The cat's artistic expression form is various,whatever in Chinese or Western culture it has been manifested.For the professional characteristic,the author chooses the Chinese traditional painting form to concretely discuss and analyze the knowing and understanding of people for the cat and the cat picture.First,from the perspective of meticulous brushwork,we believe that painting cats must involve the long and complex relationship between cats and humans.This relationship is mainly related to the process: from the wild cats to dependence cats,the combination of childlike and smart,becoming a pet.Secondly,why to paint the cat is a very important problem,is it a unique display of the screen,or people's life fun,or even psychological comfort and so on,must be carefully figured out.Thirdly,for the choosing and painting the cat,we can not avoid copying the model of each paint school.Finally,combined with their own learning experience,we believe that the taste of cat painting based on the people's understanding of the cat,the proximity of the cat,the understanding and inheritance the of the traditional classic cat painting,the degree that the cat painting accepting modern things and modern psychology and reflecting the modern life and artistic taste.
