The history of using spice is long, by the Ming Dynasty, the relationship with spice and people’s lives became increasingly close. Spice was indispensable to the general public, and then had a major impact on the overseas trade, market supply and social atmosphere of the Ming Dynasty. It formed a reflection of social change in Ming Dynasty. This paper, with "demand-supply-consumption" as the path, examines the needs of the Ming Dynasty market demand of spices, analyzes the supply market of the Ming Dynasty spices. Article maintains that the local spices cultivation and the civil smuggling trade are important sources of the spice supply market to the Boycott Policy in the Ming Dynasty. The paper dilates the use of spices in many social fields of food, clothing, housing and transportation, etc. Paper argues that the consumer groups of spices in the Ming Dynasty have spread to the general public. It not only enriches people’s material and spiritual life, also stimulates the growth of luxury social atmosphere, having a definite impact on social change.
