A Translation Report On Termination Agreement

This is a translation report on Termination Agreement which is entered into by and between Kalobios and Sanofi.This report mainly explores the translation of “of”structure and negative sentences,which appear frequently in Termination Agreement and increase the difficulty for the author to do the translation.Therefore,it is of much importance to properly deal with “of” structure and negative sentences.This report introduces “of” structure of possessive relation and “of” structure of predicate-object relation.And under the guidance of the back-transformation theory,the author adopts the translation technique-shifting and conversion-to translate “of” structure of possessive relation and “of” structure of predicate-object relation respectively.As for negative sentences and its translation,the translation technique,transferring,is used to translate negative sentences in which there is transferred negation.And the translation technique,literal translation is used to translate negative sentences in which there is not transferred negation.The author hopes to provide a reference for the translation of“of” structure and negative sentences in legal texts when translators are faced with these two problems.
