| Birds,as an important theme of Flower-and Bird Painting,have existed for thousands of years.It not only contains Chinese aesthetic thoughts,but also carries the Chinese people’s ideological and emotional sustenance.The history of flower-and-bird painting is also a process of the evolution of bird images.The image of birds can be traced back to the painted pottery patterns of the Neolithic period in the primitive society.In the primitive period,the birds imaged on painted pottery were naive and primitive,and the birds in the portrait stone and portrait bricks of the Qin and Han periods were rough and simple,being the sculptural characteristic of the flower-and-bird painting.Afterwards,the flower and bird painting experienced the transition from the flower-and-bird decoration on screen of the Sui and Tang dynasty palaces to the freehand writing between the Five Dynasties and the Song Dynasty.However,the bird sculpture dominated by flower-and-bird painting developed to the extreme during the Ming and Qing Dynasties.The Ming Dynasty was a period in which flowers-and-birds brushwork was transitioning to the literati’s free-hand drawing of flowers and birds.In particular,Lin Liang’s paintings were a key step towards the freehand brushwork of the flowers-and-birds paintings,inheriting the past and ushering in the future.The birds in the works of Lin Liang’s are organically combined with rigorous and meticulous style and strong and unblemished ink.The ink rhythm and the poetic imagery are seamlessly integrated into one,creating a brand-new freehand brushwork.It has made great contributions to the progress and development of freehand brushwork techniques.Lin Liang uses different brushstrokes in the modeling of birds and birds based on the habits and characteristics of different birds,and carries out structural changes in the shape of birds.Taking the modeling method of birds in Lin Liang flower-and-bird painting as the main research object,this pape sums up the artistic features of the bird modeling in his works,and excavates Lin Liang’s painting spirit.Based on the results of Lin Liang’s creation,the author clarified a clear idea for creation.After scrutinizing his works,the author created a series of “cangyan” after absorbing the rich and varied painting techniques of the birds.The works such as "The First Snow," "Hantan Huying," "Han Lin Xiang Ji" and other works show Lin Liang’s research achievements and insights into the creation of flower-and-bird paintings,striving to form my own style of birds modeling and create works rich in artistic conception. |
