Study On The Creative Techniques Of Three Chamber Music Works By Wang Ning

This paper begins with three recent chamber music works by composer Wang Ning: string quartet " style dialogue"(op 18),alienation-prayer song of mankind and their own end of the century-dedicated to 1999 for indoor band(op 23),tide song for four Chinese and western musical instruments and Chinese and western mixed chamber music(op 42),and summarizes his techniques and characteristics in the field of chamber music genre creation through in-depth study on pitch materials,polyphonic thinking and tonal combination of these works.the author tries to extract the composer’s main creative ideas and technical features.The thesis consists of three parts: introduction,main body and conclusion.The introduction includes the reason of the topic selection,research status and methods,the author’s life and works.The body is divided into three chapters: The first chapter,Study on pitch material.The second chapter,Study on polyphonic techniques.The third chapter,Study on the tonal combination.The main body will explore how the composer to multi-cultural creative perspective,multi-style music creation concept into the chamber music creation,as well as how to organically integrate the east and west music culture,and the traditional composition techniques and means of expression for a breakthrough and innovation.The conclusion is a summary of the three chamber music works creative ideas and composition techniques.Finally,the author hopes that through the above discussion,for future theoretical research and creation to provide reference and inspiration.
