The “folk songs” studied in this article refers specifically to the modern folk songs that originated in Europe and the United States in the middle of the 20 th century and that were acoustic guitars as the main accompaniment instruments and sang in a natural and rustic way.In this sense,"Chinese modern folk songs" began in Taiwan in the 1970 s "Modern Folk Song Movement." In the middle of the 20 th century,the folk rejuvenation movements in Europe and the United States and the literary trends in Taiwan’s native land were the two main reasons for their birth.For more than four decades,China’s modern folk songs have experienced three historical periods,including Taiwan’s campus songs,mainland campus ballads,and new ballads,and have constantly changed in content and form.This article begins with a historical context and clarifies the origin and historical development of Chinese modern folk songs in the order of time(1975-2017).Then,with music as the main body,combined with the lyrics and tunes of modern Chinese folk songs,we conducted in-depth studies to analyze and summarize the characteristics of lyrics.The article is mainly divided into the following sections: The first chapter mainly describes the research object and related concepts of this article.Through combing the existing literature,the research space is found and the research value of this article is explored.The second chapter,“The Development of Modern Chinese Folk Ballads”,takes the major social events in the development of modern Chinese ballads as the main line,and strives to fully,truly,and objectively describe the development course of modern Chinese ballads.This chapter divides the development of modern Chinese folk songs into the following three periods: the first stage(1975-1982)is the Taiwanese folk song movement;the second stage(1983-2000)is the mainland campus folk song;the third stage(2001-2017)is new ballad.The third chapter focuses on the lyrics of the modern campus folk songs.Through the interpretation of folk song lyrics content and language rhetoric in different periods,the lyric characteristics of modern Chinese ballads are summarized.The fourth chapter focuses on the tunes of folk music.Through the ontological analysis of the melody elements,from the perspectives of interval,rhythm,music exchange,and phonological characteristics,the main features of the melody of modern Chinese ballads in various horizontal periods are summed up.development changes.Chapter 5 considers the development trend of modern Chinese ballads. |
