| With the rise of embodied cognition, more and more researchers begin to pay attention to the topic of the plasticity of self-awareness.Tsakiris reported the“enfacement paradigm” for the first time in 2008,suggesting that simultaneous visual-tactile stimulation can alter the self-face representation. In this study, the classical “enfacement paradigm” is used to explore the effects of the consistency of multisensory stimulus location and the effects of self-prioritization effect with the unfamiliar face on enfacement of the Chinese college students.Experiment 1 used "Interpersonal Reactivity Index-C" 、 "Subjective Reports of the Enfacement" 、 " Self-made Attraction,Trust and Similarity Questionnaire" 、 "Self-Recognition Tasks" and the "Simultaneous Visual-Tactile Stimulation Task" to explore the effect of the consistency of multisensory stimulus location on the“enfacement” and the stability of that; The results suggest that the Chinese college students can experience the enfacement and the gender does not affect the illusion experience;Besides, the illusion can maintain a certain stability in a short period of time.Experiment 2 used the "Self-Recognition Task" and the " Face-Identity Matching Task" to explore the effect of the self-association with a new face on the "enfacement";The results suggest that there is a self-prioritization effect of the unfamiliar face in the perceptual processing, but this effect does not induce the enfacement. |
