China’s influence upon the world has been further strengthened and more and more domestic companies and enterprises are beginning to enter the international market.The “Belt and Road” Initiative,proposed by President Xi Jinping in 2013,has brought opportunities to domestic companies and enterprises,especially the inland companies.Therefore,those inland companies and enterprises along the Silk Road would like to take on this “train” with lots of opportunities to go out and share these development opportunities.Enterprise publicity material is the best business card for a foreign customer to know about the enterprise.It is also an important means of publicity for domestic enterprises to “go out”.The translator is entrusted by Hiast Industrial Group to undertake the task of translating this company’s profile.Taking this translating practice as an example,this report discusses the key and difficult points in translating publicity materials of domestic private-owned inland enterprises.This practice report analyzes and elaborates the translation task from three stages:“comprehending,expressing and proofreading”.First of all,based on the specific requirements of the client party,the details of this translating task are further elaborated,and the information of the client party is collected extensively and pertinently.Then,the translator gives a general description of the whole process of translation,including pre-translation preparation,translation process,and post-translation.In the process of translation practice,under the guidance of the stylistic translation theory of Liu Miqing,the translator analyzes the source text from its unique stylistic system of words,syntax,paragraphs and phonetic features,following the phonological markers,lexical markers,syntactic markers and textual markers.When dealing with these markers,the translator comprehensively adopts the stylistic translation methods of corresponding,recasting and decoloring or generalizing as well as the adaptability principle and the receiver principle.Finally,the translator summarizes the whole process of translation practice,including the gains,problems and deficiencies through this translating practice.Meanwhile,the translator reflects on the publicity material translation,hoping that the theories and methods adopted in this translation practice will have some reference significance and help for similar enterprise publicity material translation.
