Before And After Studying Abroad:A Study On Group Characteristics Of Noncommissioned Officers Studying In Japan

As an important part of the students studying in Japan,noncommissioned officers(NCO)are not only particularly dazzling but also play a key role in the development of history.Because of the large number of characters,it is difficult to see the whole picture of the characteristics of NCOs studying in Japan.Most of the researches just include some characters or some fields.Luckily,the development of quantitative history has gradually exceeded this limit,which makes it easier to establish a database of NCOs studying in Japan to study their group characteristics.Samples of NCOs studying in Japan are the basis for the establishment of a database,and the selected samples need withstand various verifications.This thesis uses Chen Yuhuan’s "China’s General Manager to Study in Japanese Army Noncommissioned School" as the basis to establish a database,supplemented and referenced by Shen Yunlong(editor)and Guo Rongsheng(corrector)’s "Japan Army Noncommissioned Officer School of the Republic of China for International Students".Another database of the elite talents of NCOs studying in Japan was established based on a list of elite talents from the Japanese Army Noncommissioned School compiled by Chen Yuhuan’s "China’s General Manager to Study in Japanese Army Noncommissioned School".Three databases which include the names,nationalities,birthplace,age,period,military,normal graduation or not,former government,position classification,and remarks of NCOs studying in Japan were successively established,and also establish smaller databases according to its needs.Utilizing the relevant contents of the database,using quantitative methods,this thesis will have a detailed analysis on the group characteristics,the basic characteristics of the senior generals and celebrities from all walks of life,dropout students,and the characteristics of temporal and spatial distribution of the source area of NCOs studying in Japan.The group characteristics of NCOs studying in Japan will be elaborated on four parts:ethnic identity and age differences,number and time,spatial distribution,and composition of military service.And its subsequent influences will be elaborate on the post-return government and post.The basic characteristics of senior generals and celebrities from all walks of life and the group characteristics of NCOs studying in Japan have similarities in the classification,so the relevant contents have a comparative meaning.Dropout students’ basic characteristics,relationship with the historical process,and career orientation after returning to China are worth exploring because they are a special group of NCOs studying in Japan.The characteristics of the temporal and spatial distribution of the students’ source of NCOs studying in Japan are presented based on the spatial nature of their birthplace information and the epochal nature of their periods.The group characteristics of NCOs studying in Japan have hierarchical characteristics.Therefore,it is difficult to make a hierarchical analysis and presentation for this thesis.Quantitative analysis of the database will undoubtedly provide a lot of convenience for the structure of this thesis,but it is rather difficult to combine the presentation characteristics of quantitative analysis and the in-depth discussion of the level of the article,so that the author has more than enough energy and hope the future generations can make up for this deficiency.
