The Translation Of Public Signs From The Perspective Of Eco-translatology

This paper mainly discuss the translation of public signs from the perspective of eco-translatology.It is based on the field survey of public traffic signs in Zhengzhou,and discusses in detail the core ideas of eco-translatology theory and the translation standards of traffic signs.Although the international standardization conference and some related organizations in China have made provisions on the translation of public signs.However,the author believes that there is still a lot of room for improvement from the perspective of eco-translatology.So,the author proposes his own ideas with the special status of the public signs of translation,and discusses the relevant translation strategies.Finally,the author puts forward suggestions for the translation of public signs of transportation in Zhengzhou city from the perspective of eco-translatology and gives a summary and outlook as well as the shortcomings of this study.This paper is composed of the following parts: The first chapter gives an overview of the research background of this topic and the collection of data.The main purpose is to emphasize the importance and feasibility of paper research through effective data.The second chapter is the literature review,mainly the research status of public signs at home and abroad.The third chapter is the theoretical structure of this topic.It mainly introduces the basic content of eco-translatology and professor Hu Gengshen’s new perspective on the theory,then analyzes the characteristics and necessity of translation of public signs.The fourth chapter is case analysis,which is also a key part of the paper,mainly discusses traffic signs in Zhengzhou city on the selective adaptation theory from three aspect: readers’ needs,specific environment,and original intentions.The author try to explores the translation principles and methods for the translation of traffic signs and proposes translation strategies for different types of public signs from the perspective of ecological translation theory.The fifth chapter summarizes the new research achievements of Zhengzhou’s traffic signs,the inadequacies of this research,and the expectation of Zhengzhou traffic public signs translation.
