Research On "Lan Poets Society" In Wujin Dring The Republican Period

Changzhou was a center of poetry in Qing dynasty,establishing the schools of Changzhou,Yanghu and The new text,etc.During the Republic period,people from Changzhou continued the tradition of associating poetry society.There were many poetry societies in Changzhou.One of them was "Lan poetry society".Because "Lan poetry society" had so many members,people always took it to compare with"Suiyuan Female disciples group",seeing it as one of old style poetry societies which wielded most clout and had both male and female members.This paper attempts to show graceful image of "Lan poetry society"by restoring history,studying members’life and analyzing poets’ mentality and their art level.The text divides into three chapters.The first part studies the emergence background,name connotation,teaching activities and portfolio details of "Lan poetry society" to reconstruct the elegance history of the regions south of the Yangtze River.The second part is the exploration of the members,mainly discussing various relations between the members.The third part analyses the poem achievements of"Lan poetry society",discussing content,theory and style of the poems respectively.The rest part emphatically studies the significance of "Lan poetry society" under the special background.The paper also has three appendixes.The first one is The directory of "Lan poetry society",including name,alias and native place of the members.The second one is The directory of celebrities associated with Zhou Baoyi,listing all knowable celebrities who were associated with Zhou Baoyi,as a reference to the second chapter of paper.
