Writing is an important part of teaching in TCFL.However,for Chinese learners,writing is one of the most difficult and demanding task,which requires a comprehensive Chinese proficiency.Through studying relevant literature and observing the status quo of international students who are learning writing,the author found out that many students had a fear of difficulty in the argumentative writing.On one hand,speaking and writing in the HSK in the argumentative require high levels in critical thinking ability and language expression ability.The lack of critical thinking and extensive knowledge are common problems for students;on the other hand,the improvement of writing skills takes a long time of practice.The long term and relatively slow progress will seriously impede the students’ enthusiasm for learning.For teachers of TCFL,writing courses mean heavy burden and pressure.It is difficult to find a reasonable and effective teaching method.In terms of the problems in the teaching of argumentative writing in TCFL,the paper tries to introduce brainstorming as an important technique for teaching.Research and analysis of the practical use have been made,as an effort to prove that the brainstorming technique is suitable and applicable for it.With regard to the differemces among students,the author will also use Krashen’s input hypothesis theory to teach,in order to facilitate the improvement of the writing skills of students.The paper is based on the belief that brainstorming is a way of thinking and teaching,hence student-centered teaching and can fully mobilize the students by allowing them to brainstorm in a relaxing manner.The clashes of ideas and thoughts will help students acquire a method of cooperative learning and improve the skills of argumentative writing in TCFL.The paper explores the application of brainstorming technique in the writing course of TCFL,through which the teaching methods can be enriched an an inspiration for teachers and students.In the hope of contributing to TCFL,the author did some in-depth research.
