The featured construction and function of verb in Tibetan has always been one of the major focuses in the research of traditional Tibetan grammar.Mgolog dialect,a famous Kham Tibetan dialect,still remains phonological features around the orthography of written Tibetan,especially the inflaxoinal morphology of verbal tense and mood.So the verbal morphology of Mgolog dialect is of great research value.This thesis emphasizes on the verbal morphology of Mgolog dialect.Methods used are description,inducion,conparison and analysis.The thesis consists of six chapters.Chapter One introduces the purpose and value of this research,the review on literature,the methodology employed,and general knowledge on the construction and function of verb in Tibetan,such as tenses and mood,transitive and intransitive.Chapter Two introduces the origin,distribution and features of Mgolog dialect,based on its history and geography.Chapter Three compares verb in Mgolog dialect with the rule of verbal morphology shown in written Tibetan,then analyses the evolution of the"3 Tenses 1 mood" of Mgolog dialect.Chapter Four induces and compares the similarities and differences of the verbal morphology of tenses and mood amongst Mgolog and other Tibetan dialects.Chapter Five discusses the rule,feature and cause of formation of verbal morphology in Mgolog dialect,via both the perspective of traditional Tibetan grammar and modern linguistic knowledge.Chapter Six concludes the thought,result and innovation of this thesis.
