As one of the most active elements in language, vocabulary plays a very important role in teaching Chinese as a foreign language. As an important and special part of vocabulary, color words also need special attention in the process of teaching Chinese as a foreign language. On the one hand,Chinese color words have a strong symbolic meaning. On the other hand, the symbolic meaning of color words in Spanish is different from the symbolic meaning of color words in Chinese. For example,if we consider the 5,000-year cultural history of China, white is related to bereavement,it has a non auspicious meaning, and symbolizes death and omen.In contrast,in Spanish, the color that symbolizes death and omen is black. If the teacher asks Argentina's middle and senior students what“??”means, they probably will not be able to give a proper answer. The reason is that students do not know that in the Chinese tradition white has a cultural connotation related to death. Therefore,we must pay close attention to the cultural connotation of color words in the process of learning Chinese color words.Based on the modern Chinese vocabulary theory and vocabulary teaching for foreigners, this article analyzes the situation of Argentinian students of Chinese language as regards the mastering of color words, whether or not the teaching method of color words from a cultural approach is applied, and analyzes the causes of the related problems. Finally this article presents methods and techniques of color words teaching for Argentinian Chinese language students in order to help them learn Chinese color words and expressions more effectively. This article is mainly composed of the following parts:Chapter One :IntroductionChapter Two: Collective Statistics and Analysis of Color WordsChapter Three : Problems and Suggestions in Teaching Color Words in ArgentinaChapter Four: Color Words amd Expressions Teaching Design for Argentinian StudentsChapter Five : Conclusion...
