With special logical and linguistic features,military English is a kind of English with particular purpose.The translation of military English is also an important part of English translation,which provides reference materials for the development of military.Therefore,translators should pay attention to the usage of military language and expressions of professional military vocabularies so that the original meaning could be translated accurately.This report extracts the original text from Blind Man's Bluff by Sherry Sontag,Christopher Drew and Annette Lawrence Drew.It is a non-fiction book about U.S.navy submarine operations during the Cold War.Several operations are included in the book but little is known and less has been published publicly.This report aims to show the Skopos theory's application on the translation of Blind Man's Bluff.Skopos theory is the core idea of German functionalism,which has a great influence in the circle of translation.Formed in German,Skopos theory is popular in the world with representatives of Katharian Reiss,Hans J.Vermeer and Christiane Nord.The instruction of Skopos rule,coherence rule and fidelity rule in Skopos theory is of great value in actual practice.In the translation process of Blind Man's Bluff,the translator has a deep understanding of Blind Man's Bluff at first so as to express accurately what the writer wants to show.Besides,under the guidance of Skopos theory,the author should also make the sentence readable and understandable to so that readers will have a better understanding.
