Shijing is a collection of poetry in ancient China,a total of 311 pieces,di vided into Feng,Ya,Song.Zhengqiao said,“The voice of custom is Yue feng,the court's voice is Yue ya,Temples' s voice is Yue song.”1This sentence means that Feng is the folk song,Ya is the court of the Zhou Dynasty music,that is,the nobles' poetry,and the song is the royal family and the nobility in the ri tual of the music played.It can be said that the contents of the psalms of the Shijing include all aspects of life in the Zhou Dynasty.Food is the most imp ortant activity in human life.Lu Simian said,“The evolution of diet,a view o f its food,a view of its cooking method.”2Shiijing contains a lot of information about the development of food and cooking in the Zhou Dynasty.From the p erspective of history,this article tries to study the food and cooking methods i n Shijing by textual research on the appearance of food and cooking in the Sh ijing.The article includes three parts,preface,text and conclusion.First of all,in the preface part,this article clarifies the research object,significance,status quo and writing ideas.The first chapter of the text examines and explains the main food ingredie nts in Shijing.The staple foods in Shijing are divided into six categories accor ding to their species,there are Shu,Ji;Mai,Lai,Mou;He,Su,Dao,Tu;Shu,Renshu;Ma,Ju;Ju,Pi,Mi,Qi,Liang.etc.The second chapter,the variety of Non-staple food of Shijing is rich,according to its main source can be divided into five categories,respectively,for the cultivation of vegetables,collecting vegetables,livestock breeding,wildlife and aquatic products.The third chapter,the condiment of Shijing has Mei,Yi,Zhi,Hai,Jiu,Jiaoliao,L iao,Ku.This article divides it into three categories,namely basic category,bre wing type and spice class.In the fourth chapter,there are 12 kinds of cooking nouns in Shijing,namely Fan,Zhi,Pao,Lie,Pao,Heng,Xiang,Zheng,Ben,Zu,Hai,Pu.This article divides it into four categories,there are Fan,Zhi,Pao,Lie,Pao;Heng,Xiang;Zheng,Ben;Zu,Hai,Pu.The conclusion part summarizes the full text.and the civilian and the nobility of the staple food and non-staple food for comparison,the Shijing period of the various classes of dietary life to be traced.
