| It is not rational to focus on the correctness of different Schools according to their works in the research history of Shijing. For many achievements could not form to works or papers, and the documents we can see nowadays are so limited. Therefore, the starting point and the following way in usual behaviors are probably ineffective. As for the Schools in the research history of Shijing which are set up artificial, is a very small number of the whole field. We cannot construct the whole system on this foundation. In the research field of Shijing in Han Dynasty, the four Families are visible in that time. However, the whole field contained more researches than the four Families, and these researches should be perceived, though it is very different to describe according to the documents we can see. The most important in the researches of Shijing is the meanings of the works, and the appearance of the meanings needs extensive background and more conditions. But these conditions could not always correspond to the construction of the research history of Shijing. We need a new presupposition to construct the research history of Shijing. Obviously, Shi in the documents were not always alleged to Shijing before the birth of the modern punctuations. Shi in the documents of ancient times were uncertain, which mainly appear on two sides: Shi in the documents can be reckoned to Shijing sometimes, but sometimes cannot; and even if sometimes we can reckon, the understandings of the researchers cannot exclude the influence of the different meanings of Shi in different times logically. So we need consider expanding our vision to all documents to investigate the meanings of Shi, which would be necessary to explain so many questions in the research history of Shijing rationally. It could be the presupposition of the research history of Shijing, and could be called evolution of the name and the fact of Shi.As for the research of Shijing in Han Dynasty, there are correspondences between Shi and Ge, Geshi, Geyao and the poems of the writers, besides the correspondences between Shi and Shijing. There is one point needs special attention: though Rhapsody didn't share the name of Shi, people in Han Dynasty consider it basing on Shijing. Through the state of Rhapsody in Han Dynasty, we can perceive some meanings of Shijing to a certain extent. The first chapter of this paper is mainly about this, the presupposition of the research of Shijing in Han Dynasty. Actually, the correspondences between Shi and Ge, Geshi, Geyao and the poems of the writers were the result of the speech of Shi in Han Dynasty according to the original state of Shi, which should correspond to Shijing. This situation means that Shi cannot separate from music though it tended to production of pure diction in Han Dynasty. And the lost of music system of Shijing before Han Dynasty make the author of works noticeable. The text state of Shijing expands the meanings of the works, while the division of Category of Shifu and Category of Shijing in Hanshuyiwenzhi had also meant it. The chapter Two is about the compilation research of Shijing in Han Dynasty. While the correspondence between Shi and Shijing was broken, the theory of Collection meant that the number of Shi in Pre-Qin Period was much larger than the number of Shijing in the mind of people in Han Dynasty. Then the theory of Selection by Confucius can get the first rationality. The so-called lost-Shi and Six Sheng-Shi were both strengthen this rationality. According to this, we can find that the situations of Shijing were changed from Confucius in the mind of people in Han Dynasty. It means that the meanings of Shijing would also be changed. The chapter Three and Four focus on the research of Shijing in West Han and East Han Dynasty separately. The birth of families in the research of Shijing was an important phenomenon in West Han Dynasty. However, the numbers of researchers were far more than the numbers of the families, which meant a family needed many external supports outside the research. And the birth of the new families in each family would indicate the change of the viewpoints and the expansion of the meanings of Shijing, while the complex situations of Rhapsody and Geshi made them more intricate. Therefore, the original meanings of works in Shijing became important. Meanwhile, more and more ancient documents were found in West Han Dynasty, which meant the researches of the families in office were incomplete. Thus, the Family of Mao which was not in office was tending to an antithesis to the Families of Qi, Lu and Han. In East Han Dynasty, the debates between the Schools of Old and New were intense. At the first time, the debates were mainly about whether some families should get chairs in office. According to this, the Family of Mao was antithesis to other three Families. But the debates were corresponding to certain conditions. It could not contain all situations, e.g. the four Families all agreed to the theory of Selection by Confucius. It is not comprehensive to focus on the debates in East Han Dynasty. The studies of Chen-Wei were very popular in East Han Dynasty, especially in the officers. The research of Shijing could not make an exception. However, the developments of Shi besides Shijing would be chaos in some degree. Zheng Xuan'annotation to Shijing which based on the Family of Mao, indicated that the debates between the Schools of Old and New were finally turned in academic sequence. The achievements of Zheng Xuan'annotation promoted the meanings of Shijing tending to focus on a consistent foundation. Therefore, it was popular after creation which brought prosperousness of the Family of Mao. A new period was coming. |
