At present,the field of education further affected by the information revolution is undergoing rapid changes,and these changes mainly are reflected in two aspects:first,from the classroom teaching point of view,the development of science and technology has promoted the application of multimedia in the field of education,largely improving the teaching effect;second,from the point of informal learning,students use mobile devices with network communication function(such as intelligent mobile phone,tablet computer)to learn,breaking the limits of time and space.Students can select their favorite learning resources,to a certain extent,improving the learning initiative.As a result,mobile learning has been greatly developed.Therefore,it is of great practical significance to study the application of mobile learning in English vocabulary learning.In this study,a number of non-English majors and English teachers in universities were selected as the subjects of study.Through questionnaires and interviews,the study finally finds that:The smart phone has become the most common mobile learning device in the world,and the promotion of mobile learning has played a great role in the language learning of college students.More and more college students are learning English by smart phones,and they give some good comments on this kind of learning method.But it is undeniable that in mobile learning according to the survey in English vocabulary learning there also appeared a lot of problems in the process of application:First,some students still have never used mobile-devices to study English vocabulary,and the generalization degree is not high enough.Besides,as a kind of informal learning,mobile learning without formal learning task' guidance is questioned because of its learning effect.And three causes can explain the above problems.First,the current English vocabulary of mobile learning resources is rich but uneven in quality;the overall quality is unsatisfying.Second,contemporary college students' awareness of using mobile devices for English learning is still weak and needs to be strengthened.Third,the construction process of school mobile environment,including technology and curriculum resources,is still relatively slow.From the above results,some suggestions are concluded.First,raise mobile learning awareness and cultivate mobile learning strategies.When carrying out English vocabulary mobile learning,the college students should set reasonable learning goals,make a scientific management of mobile learning time,and search for suitable and useful learning resources according to their own personalized needs.Second,strengthen the construction of English vocabulary mobile learning infrastructure and resources.Universities should try to establish a better and more practical mobile learning network system,upgrade equipment,and create good hardware conditions for college students' English vocabulary learning.At the same time,we should intensify the development of English vocabulary mobile learning resources,develop high-quality courseware and learning platform for higher education,and promote students' deep research self-help learning.Finally,further integrate English classroom teaching with mobile learning.Make full use of the auxiliary features of mobile learning,and popularize the teaching method based on learning and teaching;teachers should have the development vision of keeping abreast with the Times,think rationally and deal with the relationship between classroom teaching and mobile learning,so as to improve the teaching quality.
