Header Remarks Higher China Practical Writing Textbook(hereafter this text will be abbreviated as Practical Writing Textbook)is a reference book for learning practical writing in Chinese by the Japanese educator Da Ye De Xiao during the late Qing Dynasty and early Republic of China.Practical Writing Textbook is a valuable book that can be used to study the terms and rules of official documents in the Qing Dynasty.It also inspires today's practical writing in teaching Chinese as a foreign language.However,there is not much attention paid by the academic circles to Practical Writing Textbook.Based on Practical Writing Textbook,the study uses the corpus technology to count and analyze the terms,the rules and vocabulary in the book from different aspects by comparative study.From the study,we can find that Practical Writing Textbook is a reference book suitable for middle-to-high level Chinese learners to learn the practical writing and has a certain reference value for today's teaching in practical writing,especially in the field of official documents.At the same time,the study investigates overall 261 documents in the fifth volume of Textbook Sylloge for Learning Chinese in Japan(hereafter this text will be abbreviated as Sylloge),including a survey of the kinds of official documents and the formation and evolution of document words.This article is divided into two parts.The third,fourth and fifth chapters are the first part,which is the teaching of stylistics,and the sixth chapter is the second part,which is the teaching of vocabulary.This article is divided into seven chapters.Except for Chapter one and Chapter seven,the other five chapters are the main body of the thesis.The main contents are as follows:Chapter two:With reference to the perspective of ancient stylistics,we find out the types of official documents in this study,and divide the types of official documents and the terms of official documents,and define the concept of official documents.Chapter three:The study investigates 6 official documents written to the subordinate department.These official documents written to the subordinate department are all memorials to the throne.The study finds out 21 terms and the rules of memorials to the throne.Moreover,the study analyzes the principles of selection in memorials to the throne,finding that it follows the rules in practical writing,which teaches learners the fixed vocabulary and structure.Chapter four:The study investigates 24 official documents written to the equal department.These official documents written to the equal department are all diplomatic instruments.The study finds out 52 terms and the rules of diplomatic instruments.Title terms,quotations are analyzed specially.From the perspective of linguistics,the study provides evidence for the historical view that "The Qing Dynasty gradually took the path of modern diplomacy after the Opium War."Chapter five:The study investigates 32 official documents written to the subordinate department,including 9 edicts and 23 notices.The study finds out 77 terms.The selection of official documents written to the subordinate department reflects practicality.Chapter six:The study investigates the vocabulary usage of Practical Writing Textbook.Through the comparison with the Official Document Term,we can see that the collection of the terms of the Six Boards of the central government in feudal China focuses on the Ministry of Official Personnel Affairs in feudal China.Comparing it with the Guan Hua Cui Zhen,we can see the distance between spoken language and written language is very large during the late Qing Dynasty and early Republic of China.The study also investigates the formation and evolution of the document words in the fifth volume of the Sylloge.
