Achille Claude Debussy(1862-1918)and Olivier Messiaen(1908-1992)were the most representative and influential composers in the history of French music.They were in the music language,particularly in the harmonics,and it was a representative of the French music from the 19 th century to the 20 th century,and it had an important impact on the development of the music.In this paper,Debussy's "24 piano prelude" and "eight prelude" of Messiaen are used as the object of study,using comparative analysis techniques,from music material and subject form,the application of tonal and mode,and the organization of harmony and harmony sequence.By classifying the pitch material in the two works,it was found that Messiaen inherits the color concept of Debussey's music,It extends to the chord of added notes,parallel harmony,and the layers of the texture.Since the original piece,it has established the use the mode of transpotation limited,and has been systematic,conceptualized,and an orderly with his unique technique and technique.From the composing technique and concept of harmony technique of inheritance and innovation of two dimensions,comparative analysis of Debussy contact with Messiaen on composing techniques,in the 19 th century to the 20 th century French music language evolution.
