Research Of The Acoustic Character Of The Hailekesen Chor

Hailekesen chor(a kind of string instrument that using bow to rub the instrument)is a historic representative bowed chordophone of Mongolian Nationality;it is often used for accompanying epic poem and folk ballads.This paper treats Hailekesen chor as the research object,states the characteristics of it from many aspects(acoustic structure and sound producing principle,structural and acoustic characteristics of the musical instrument,as well as selection and acoustic characteristic of materials etc.),through field works and experiments,using the measuring means of musical acoustics.We hope to provide certain data and direction for improvement and making by basic acoustic research of Hailekesen chor.The main body of the thesis consists of three chapters,which respectively provide a basic overview of Hailekesen chor,the acoustic structure of Hailekesen chor and experimental analysis of Hailekesen chor.Chapter Ⅰ of the text.Through the records of the relevant literature in chor,it mainly states definition of Chor and five music types covered by it,and introduces them.This part has further settled the historical development process of Hailekesen chor through the literature records.Chapter Ⅱ of the text.It introduces pronounce principle of Hailekesen chor,and it explains the effect of each part of Hailekesen chor on pronunciation from five aspects: oscillating body,resonant,stimulating body,conductor and regulating unit,and specifies the materials,dimensions,and structure of each part according to the structural features.Chapter Ⅲ of the text.This part has analyzed acoustic features of Hailekesen chor.Section I states the acoustic features of Mongolian knife as the sound beam.Section II has introduced the distinction of horsetail chord and nylon chord,and compared acoustic character of horsetail chord and nylon chord.Section III has introduced the structural tissues and physical nature of calf skin,foal skin,sheepskin and boa skin often used by Hailekesen chor,and compared acoustic features of the four skin films.At the same time,this section has also compared Hailekesen chor that the board vibration has undergone modern modification with the four kinds of skin films.And introduced advantages and disadvantages of the five vibrating bodies as musical instrument faces of Hailekesen chor.
