On The Narrative Art Of Folk Documentary

The folk documentary combines sound and picture to present the non-fictional life from a unique perspective.Inheriting the traditional culture and attracting the attention of the audience,it has a positive communication effect.If we combine history,sociology and communication to comprehensively evaluate the folk documentary,we will find that folk documentary summarizes the past,displays the present and predicts the future and actively promotes the history of human culture.Of course,since it is also related to various aspects of history,folk documentary is thought-provoking.Folk custom can be found everywhere,providing endless sources for folk documentaries.The key significance of studying folk documentaries is to explore the theoretical framework of folk documentaries and present its narrative art on the basis of studying folk custom.The application of narrative art is one of the features of folk documentaries.The theory of narratology should be integrated while studying folk documentaries so that the application of folk documentaries can be expanded.Sociological criticism used to be the single model of folk documentary.Due to the incorporation of the theory of narratology,this situation has been changed.The priority of this paper is to explore the narrative art in folk documentaries,which means that this paper aims to express the theme of folk documentaries using relevant theories.Combining with the creation techniques of some excellent folk documentaries,the paper explores the narrative art of folk documentaries from the angles of narrative content and lens language.Besides,Heart Sculpture,a documentary filmed by the author,is combined to conduct the interpretation and reflection.It is hoped that the viewpoints presented in this paper will be helpful to documentary practitioners and researchers,and it is also expected that folk documentaries can flourish in terms of film and television creation and text research.
