There are a great number of private Chagatai documents in Turpan, which can faithfully reflect the basic development of society at that time. Therefore, from the perspective of research,11 pieces of Chagatai documents which are collected from the Uygur people in Erbao Township,Gaochang District,Turpan City in March 2017,has been interpreted, transliterated and annotated. The 11 documents date from 1867 to 1950 and span of 83 years. This article takes the contract documents of the Turpan Chagatai in the period of the late Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China as the object of studing and collating, aiming to discuss the problem of rural families in Turpan during this period, such as the inheritance of the daughters in the Turpan family, the witnesses in the contract and the distribution of resources.By studing of 11 Chagatai contracts,it' discovered that the daughters of the Uygur family in Turpan had the right of inheritance during the period of the late Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China.Although it isn't in accordance with the inheritance principle of customary law that men have twice the heritage of women.Molecule, the son's share of inheritance does have always more than the daughter's.From the witness' s identity,it can be seen that witnesses of local officials and religious persons appear in every document, representing government authority and secular power respectively, and witnessing the legality of the contract. The contents of the paper indicate that rural households in Turpan,Uygurs have little money except for some daily life and production supplies. And water resources such as water mills and canals are also allocated as family products, and the water resources are distributed according to the days of water use.In addition, the uniqueness of the Uygur rural family's analysis of production during this period is that the vines are distributed in units of trees.
