Objectives:With the development of society,facial attractiveness plays an important role in social interpersonal communication,cooperation and decision-making,and is an important source of social emotional information transmission.The judgment on the attractiveness of faces is also influenced by various factors.Based on facial stereotypes,this dissertation mainly discusses whether different facial attractiveness will affect others' prejudgment on the possibility of their helping behavior under certain social situations.Methods:This study takes college students as subjects and explores the behavior of helping people through three progressive experiments.First,the images of different types of facial attractiveness were screened out from the collected facial experimental material pictures as experimental materials.Experiment 1 mainly discusses the impact of social exclusion on facial attractiveness judgments.Experiment 2 mainly discusses whether individuals who have different types of attractive faces will affect the predictability of others about their possibility to offer help.Experiment 3 mainly discusses whether individuals who have different types of attractive faces will affect the predictability of others about their possibility to offer help after adding social exclusion scenario.Results:(1)Experiment 1:There was a significant difference in facial attractiveness scores between social exclusion group and social acceptance group.There was no significant difference in the scores of attractive faces between different genders.There existed significant differences in face appeal scores between different gender faces.Male subjects scored more attractive on female faces than male faces,and female participants rated female faces more attractive than male faces.(2)Experiment 2:Compared with low attractive faces,individuals with high attractive faces and neutral attractive faces was thought to be more likely to offer help.There was a significant difference in the prejudgment of the possibility of individual helping behaviors between different genders.There was no significant difference in the prejudgment of the possibility of individual assisting behaviors of the same type of attractive faces between different genders.(3)Experiment 3:The social acceptance group had significantly higher predictability of the likelihood of different types of face attractive individuals helping others than the social exclusion group.Regardless of the social exclusion group or the social acceptance group,compared with the low attractiveness face,it was more likely to judge individuals with high attractive faces and attractive faces to help others.At the highly attractive face level,the preconceptions of the likelihood of men's faces helping others were significantly lower than women's faces.There was no significant difference in the prejudgment of the possibility of individual assisting behaviors of the same type of attractive faces between different genders.There was no significant difference in the predictability of the attractiveness of the individual's helping behaviors of the male subjects with different gender faces.The prejudgment of female participants' attractiveness for the attractiveness of female faces was significantly higher than that of male faces.Conclusions:(1)Individuals who suffer social exclusion believe that others have a lower probability of helping others;(2)The understanding of facial attractive stereotype tends to be "what is beautiful is good." Compared with low attractive faces,it is considered that individuals with high attractive faces and attractive faces are more likely to help others;(3)There is a gender preference in the prejudgment of the possibility of other people's helping behaviors,and it is considered that the possibility of men's helping behaviors is lower than that of women's helping behaviors;after adding the social exclusion situation,this preference is more obvious in female subjects,it is considered that the female have a higher possibility of helping others;(4)There is consistency in the prejudgment of the possibility of individual' s helping behaviors if the face gender is the same as the participant gender.
