The “Plessy Case” in 1896 made the principle of “Separate but Equal”established in higher fields,thereby laying the foundation for the legal basis for blacks to receive white discrimination in higher education.The degree of segregation and racial discrimination has deepened.Post-World War II,the African in the field of higher education status discrimination ushered in a turning point,The “Brown Case”ruled in 1954 broke the “Separate but Equal” principle in higher education,Blacks have the right to enter Universities of white people,Institutions to achieve the integration of black and white in education.Legally,Blacks have acquired the right to education on an equal footing.However,the status quo of segregation and discrimination based on white is still in higher education,Which arouses the fight of black people for equal education right.Under the wave of the civil rights movement,a series of policies and measures for the black people in the field of higher education have been formulated by the federal government,local governments and universities.It is in the promotion of these measures that a large number of black students have entered the gate of higher education and accepted the baptism of higher education.The increase in the number of black people,the expansion of the scale and the rise of the proportion of black women in Colleges and universities not only reflect the achievements of black people in higher education,but also have a great impact on their integration into the mainstream society of the United States in politics,economy,employment.
