A Study Of Niu Yunzhen’s Poetry And Prose

Niu Yunzhen is a famous writer and official during Qing Dynasty of Yongzheng and Qianlong.He travelled to Qinan,Gansu Province,from his hometown Yanzhou,Shandong Province,and he was famous both east and west,he had an important impact to Gansu,especially in economy,culture and education.Meanwhile,he had great achievements in poetry creation,his works not only has variety of subjects,rich in content,but also reflect his journey of heart.His poetry has profound and forceful which is Dufu’s style.This article will combining his poetry with his life experiences,studying the ideological content and style of his works in system.Through studied Niu Yunzhen’s poetry and prose,I have analyzed his life experience,circle of friends and poetry in any period.The thesis consists of six parts:The introduction Part combed the clues and review the study of Niu Yunzhen,expound the research value of the thesis.ChapterⅠintroduced his family culture based on former research,and disscussde his life experience in different period.Then summarized his academic thought by Shi Zhi,Annotation of Shi Ji,and so on,summarized his view of literary by his poems.Chapter Ⅱ talked about Niu Yunzhen’s friends,and divided them into Shandong and Gansu by Region.Chapter Ⅲaimed at Kong Shantang poetry,divided the more than 360 poems into seven categories,consisted of history-nostalgia,homesickness and missing somebody,responding to others,lyric expression through scenery,feelings of life,feelings of mourning and lyric by write on a painting,analyzed the poet’s thoughts in different times.Chapter Ⅳ summarized Niu Yunzhen’s poetry art,studied the genre,style,and words in his poetry.Chapter Ⅴ analyzed the main idea and artistry in Niu Yunzhen’s prose,divided his more than 260 prose into five categories,including letters,prefaces,biographies,funeral oration and travel notes,then discussed his letter’s thoughts and feeling in different times,and analyzed the artistry in different literary form.Summarized the language skill,emotional colouring and expressive technique in his prose.The conclusion part summarized Niu Yunzhen’s influence in east and west,evaluated his achievement in politics and literary.
