| Journalistic English translation plays an important part in the communication of politics,economy and civilization among countries.In the report,the author has chosen some CBC(Canadian Broadcasting Corporation)news items as the source texts.News items bear the features of timeliness,objectiveness and openness.Accordingly,the journalistic English translation has its own characteristics including untranslatability of journalistic neologism translation,complexity of journalistic complex sentences translation and unequivalence of journalistic language translation.Based on skopos theory's guidance,the report discusses the features and significance of journalistic English translation,moreover,it also concludes some related translation experience.Under the guidance of skopos theory,the translation report firstly introduces some reasons of texts selection and the preparation work of the translation practice.Then,the author mainly depends on skopos theory to guide journalistic English translation;discovers some translation rules and applies some translation examples;illuminates the effectiveness of some translation strategies such as annotation,transference,division,inversion,addition and omission applied into journalistic English translation and provides some practical and effective translation skills for journalistic English translation. |
